Lolo`s Mexican Food in Morro Bay

The salsa is basically tomato sauce. First chance to make a first impression. Chips are good, service is good. My tostada was chile colorado. It was good. Local owners. Long established business. I am hoping the salsa was made by new hire and not the real recipe, i was adding table black pepper to give it character.

Typical Californian Mexican food, but friendly staff!

Waitress was nice but food was not good at all. The chips were the only redeeming thing there. Salsa was reminiscent of Pace salsa. Enchiladas were filled with rubbery cheese that took serious jaw strength to chew. The rice was very dry and beans had a burnt plastic taste. Would never eat there again.

Service was good, food was tasty. Food was serve without much wait. Kids enjoyed the food.

Delicious and creative Mexican-American comfort food. All your favorites, made from fresh ingredients, and no lard. Even pastas and hamburgers make the menu, with south of the border flavors. I enjoyed their "Ancho Chipotle Pollo Tacos" 2 soft tacos filled with tender chicken and chili sauce. I was expecting hot, but enjoyed the fusion of kick, and sweet. Michelada beer drink was just okay, not artfully impressive. The decor both interior and exterior is of multi bright tropical colorful walls. If fact driving down PCH, it stands out like a beacon. Dog friendly patio. Out in the north Morro Bay area.Good service, clean, funky, very enjoyable. 👍

Chips and salsa were just so so. They were very busy so we ended up eating two baskets of chips which left us pretty full for dinner. My wife had the vegetable burrito and I had the chicken enchilada. The red sauce they use for the burrito in the enchilada was much better and more flavorful than the salsa. Overall the food was good. I would go back

Great food and service. The fish tacos were excellent, as were the chili rellenos, carne asada, and carnitas. Vegetarian options are available, and our server also said they could modify dishes to meet vegetarian needs as well. My entire group was thrilled with the ambiance and food. Can't wait to go back!

Lolo’s is my favorite Latin restaurant in SLO County! Lolo’s bottomless fresh salsa, melt-in your mouth pintos, and guacamole have made me a regular. As a petite, whole plant-based eater, it can be discouraging dining out at times. Lolo’s staff is so compassionate and accommodating. Servings come in a wide range of sizes. There are lots of vegan options on the menu, including rice, beans, veggies, burritos, tacos.The dining room decorations are colorful and cheerful. Don’t forget to order some salsa to go!

Not bad food but it's small. I recommend take out and enjoy!

I love their chile verde wet burro. Next time I will try the relleno wet burro.

Friend got very intense food poisoning from the chicken pasta. He Was grey and shaking and couldnt move.

Cant believe they dare to call their food mexican food, I was so amazed to have recieved my mini burrito that was so expensive and truly not good, flavorless! Not to mention they charge an 18percent of self tip which was extremely expensive for the service we got , waitress only came 2 times one to get order then again to give food not once to ask if everything was ok! Not what I expected for the money I paid:(

Service is the best! Food is creative and delicious. Try the posole! Seafood selections are outstanding! Great salsa. Fresh! Specials are always inventive and done well. We eat here sometimes more than once a week! Shhhhhhh, don't tell the tourists! Keep north Morro Bay local🤙

I always make it a point to go to Lolo's when I am back in town. The best Mexican food in the region, hands down! And the atmosphere is unmatched & so enjoyable. Just wish i could go back to town more often.

This was very delicious and authentic. I really liked the atmosphere as well, comfy tables in a classic style restaurant. The salsa that came with the free chips was very good.

Great first experience at Lolos! The food was delicious, my Husband only wants hard shell tacos from Lolos, no where else. The food was great! The taco meat was seasoned very well!! Yummy !We have gone back twice since this first review and LOVE it! The Staff remembered us and food was done quick!!! Love the chips and salsa.

Love Lolo's. Being a local, have been coming in for years. Dine in or take it to go. Food is always tasty and consistent. If you like a chile relleno from time to time, try their chile relleno burrito. Delicious!

There are a lot of Mexican Restaurants in a few blocks on Main Street. Lolo's is my favorite of the group. The service is good. The food is great. I'm a big fan of the chips and salsa as well. In my experience however, the service can suffer a bit when the restaurant is extra busy.

Living in Southern Oregon I can be honest and say I sure miss good Mexican Food. This restsurant had a very nice patio which made it dog friendly. The deco was done very nicely, service was excellant and food was fantastic. I would highly recommend Lolo's if you are in Morro Bay California and need a Mexican food fix.
